Lots of testimonials, and a cheap DIY.
I've been looking to get the Chauvet one for a while, but next to imposible to find in Canada it seems. The best I have found is 59$ CAD

I'm not sure if they ship to Canada but I'll try emailing them to find out. It says you can turn it to a mode that will fire the power heads anywhere from 5 to 30 seconds, which I think is decent. Its a lot better than the 15 minut intervals that most timers come with. And the deal with the two maxi jets seams like a steal, they would be $25 each, not bad.

they do ship to canada, I've already asked them, but the shipping is crazy.. 38$ for 1 unit alone.
ok, found someone who is Canada friendly shipping.

Cool, when you get it please let us know how you like it. I'm still interested in getting just the control unit to use with my existing power heads.
I believe it should be good.. He said he sells a lot to people using it for their water pumps.. so..
I am going to be using it on my DIY MJ-streams .. I just built my streams so, now I just want to put them on the wave timer.
Yikes, $29.99US for the unit and $23US shipping on top?
It's 'nice' that he'll ship to canada, but he's totally gouging you on the shipping cost.

Probably because it is air shipping, not ground. And with USPS you save on brokerage at least.

When you consider the fact that it seems impossible to get it in Canada, and all other suppliers are charging over 40$ US, I think 23$ is a steal.. Of course they are taking some off the top.
This guy in Canada wanted 16$ US to ship within our own country plus 60$ CAD for the unit itself.
I did check the USPS site, and Airmail Parcel post is about 14$ US for this so I cannot complain. http://ircalc.usps.gov/intl_speed.asp?CID=10054&MailType=package&Pounds=1.5&Ounces=0
The crazy part is its actualy more expensive to ship ground and it takes 4 - 6 weeks.
Plus no brokrage fee's..

here is a thread on RC

No pics of the ones I did yet. I did originaly have someone in the US build two for me, but they were crap and I felt like I got hosed. He also made the original model. So I made my own from scratch and made a higher output mod. My MJ1200 puts out about 2000+ gal now... Unreal flow.. a bit too much for my 50gal I think but we will see with the wavemaker what happens. I plan to have them switching off and on pretty quickly.. maybe a min or so each.

Yeah $5.00 to package it and ship it (basically a handling fee) isn't too bad at all.
