What do you use for buffering you dKH in your tank, I have a 70 gal and the dKH is about 8 dKH right know and the calcium is 380 ppm is this good or should I be concerned
I just bought a tub of the alk buffer that my lfs carries, it's his own brand. Both of your numbers are fine, just don't let them get any lower.
I agree with DanG - those #'s are nothing to worry about and in fact are pretty close to NSW - just don't let them drop too much lower. You should also monitor magnesium as that is also a critical part of the mix.
