I have no idea what is wrong with him. I thought he might have ick, but I have a powder blue in the tank, so I think NOT. I had that alkalinity problem but...

His mouth is wide open, you know the classic sucking the glass look. He eats some things but mostly hides in the rock. He is just skin and bones now. Coloration changing. It is heart wrenching. I can't get him out without tearing down the tank, but looking at him I don't think there is much I can do anyway.

Just wanted to share that.

thats always hard Deb.
To see a beautiful fish waste away knowing there isn't much you can do.

Sorry to hear Deb, my guess is an intestinal track infection or parasite. Not a whole lot you can do. Sometimes feeding garlic will help if you catch it early enough, they can sometimes flush it though their system, but it sounds like he's too far gone.

that sucks. :(
I just went through watching a 2 year old clown, a 1.5 year old lion fish and my Chevron tang die. There was nothing I could do.
