Im wondering if you can have too much of a clean-up crew. We have very little algae growth on the tank & what we do get we clean off. Should we leave some areas to build up more? I was also thinking of trying to get a rock covered in lots of growth & just switching it in & out of the tank & fuge to let the fish have more grazing. Any thoughts?

A tank can't be "too clean" perse. But, if your cleanup crew is running out of food, then in that case.. yes your tank can be "too clean"

I'd make sure your giving enough for all your inverts to eat. Other than that I wouldn't be too worried about it, just make sure the cleanup crew doesn't starve ;)

If you have a lot of algae-grazing fish, I would certainly suppliment their diet with algae rocks from your fuge if you have algae types that they will eat.

And as mentioned, your cleanup crew will die off to the point where they balance out to the amount of food available to sustain a certain number of crabs/snails.
