Very nice fish. If you ever want to sell it, PM me.

I had one that didn't make my last move but I really liked it's personallity.

Beauty fish Craig. I still have your Niger in my cube and he is really developing a personality.

That's awesome. I'm so jealous. I had one for the past couple of months. Friday night he decided to jump out of the tank.
Weird, not sure what his motive was, no one else has ever tried.

Thanks for all the comments guys, he's a super neat fish.

Of all my fish he seems to be the most 'aware' of his surroundings including what's going on outside the tank.

He has the following tankmates:
(fishwise)

1x Magnificent Foxface
1x Green Clown Goby
1x Filamentious Flasher Wrasse
1x Lawnmower Blenny
1x Psychedelic Mandarin
1x Ocellaris Clownfish
1x Atlantic Blue Tang
1x Red Sea Sailfin Tang
1x Purple Tang
5x Bartlett's Anthias

Ruth, that's good to hear about the Niger. How big is he now?

Nice trigger species! Are they difficult to find? Expensive? What size tank do you have him in?

Cheers

He doesn't stay still long enough for me to measure LOL but I guess about 3" maybe just over.

He's fairly big at just under 5"

They used to be fairly hard to find, but they are becoming more and more available. Of course they are a little pricey due to the fact they are one of the few reef-safe triggers. No where near the price of a Crosshatch though. But they still run between $100-$200 on average.

He's living in my 180g reef and doing well.

Wow, man! That's some serious coloration he's got!
What do you have for lighting?

..... Expensive? ....

I got my female Bluechin (aka Throat) for $60, here at an LFS on the island.
Had a male, but it died. It was the same price.

Cheers:smile:,

For lighting I have 3x 250w 14K SE EVC Bulbs & E-Ballasts.

I would love to keep a mated pair but I just don't have the room in my tank for them. Perhaps later if I upgrade someday...
