Skimmer is in transit. It's slowly being filled with RO/DI. Still gotta do all the plumbing. Ughh sooo much work ahead! :)

Great looking tank, is it starphire??

Thanks, naw just regular 5/8" glass, and 3/4" on the bottom :) The costs are starting to mount up on this thing as it is :( I never really asked, but what's the price difference to get Starphire anyway?

Awesome size :)

Are you planning on using bio-balls in the sump??

Thanks!
I might start off with bioballs as I save up for the LR. Then take the bioballs out and just run a filter sock, LR, remote DSB (tank is BB), skimmer and return pumps in the sump.

Currently only have 150lbs of reef bones as the base.

Updated my profile for you there Chin Lee :)
I recently moved to Calgary from Winnipeg about 6 months ago. Looking forward to possibly meeting fellow Calgarian Reefers and buy/sell/trade frags and getting in on group buys:)

Welcome aboard .. you'll meet lots of Calgary reefers here. Also, you'll get in lots of group orders.. too bad, as you just missed out on one

But, there will be plenty more in good time.

Again, can't wait to see the progress of this bad boy

nice start
, i don't want to freak you out, and it may have been a flook to start with but i had a buddy with the same style stand which collapsed sideways after some accidental persuation (of course). you may want to put some cross or diagonal brasing in even wedges in the corners of the brase uprights before you fill it after all better safe than sorry and you will have over 2300lbs on that thing. if marrfy see's it, you know it will undoubtadly come down right after the system is perfectly completeed. please don't hate me, i just love the fish's.

Trust me, I'm not freaked out lol. I had it professionally made and I've looked over the welds myself. The tank is now filled will Ro/Di (finished last night) and everything looks stable. Thanks for the warning though. I'll keep an eye out for corrosion over time.

good to hear. i forgot to mention the crash occured when the tank was pushed from the side, yeap he was a big ummm drunk guy, well maybe more drunk than big. i guess he couldn't figure out why that wall he was leaning on had fish in it.

When I had my 150gallon, I put a board below the stand and above the stand, and then used 3/4" plywood on each side, and screwed it into the board above and below. My stand wobbled a bit before this, and then after it didn't move at all. You may want to try this, as Im glad I did it

(Then you can place styrofoam ontop of the top board)

for sure. if i can figure out how to post picture and i have time i'll show pic's of my system and stand. the crash i was talking about happened to a buddy of mine a few years ago i've had lots of experience since then. keep updateing us on the system looks really cool so far. Good luck
