Hi all,

I Have 2 sets of closed loops.
Each of the pumps are Seq-23 5800, 1100 series. Each has a 4 ways Ocean motions with extra versions of drums and 18 foot cords.
Associated plumbing can also go with it, including true union ball valves.
All about 10 months old.

I am considering going to 4 - tunze`s with a 7091 contoller.

Any one interested in a partial or full trade ?

Marc,

Sounds like what I wanted to do on my tanks, wonder where that idea came from? ;)

Send me a PM with your pricing, I have been really close to getting one of those pumps. I have 4 1" seaswirls just needing a pump.

But I have always liked the oceanmotiong better. Got Pics?

Sorry Steve,

If i had to part the individual pieces, id just as soon keep em.
Im only interested in getting rid of them at least in individual loop sets.

Sorry about not clarifying that in the original post.

Sounded like Lee was interested in just the pumps and if thats the case then that is why I was asking about the ocean motions ... but no problem ... no harm in asking

I got the PM, still thinking. I didn't think you were in a hury to make changes.

I would need to build an intake system that would go into my tank(s). Something friendly toward fish, but could handle this huge flow. Anyone seen any good ideas for a u-tube style closed loop feed? The biggest limitation of my system is I only have a single 1.5" overflow for each tank and I'm already pushing it with my Ampmaster 3000 on return split between my 2 tanks.

I need more flow in both my 180s and this would do the trick, one for each. I have also been thinking about the Tunze route for some time.

I also have 4 seaswirls that would be really cool with the ocean motions, but that is just over kill. Not that I don't mind overkill..... So undecided.

Lee,

Ive done a few intakes for loops over the top.

I would just bring the intake low and tee with two strainers, so the pull isnt too hard off of one, and using ABS its not such an eyesore.

Or If your overflow boxes are big enouph to accomadate a street 90 and a bulkhead, i would consider bringing the intake down into the overflows and bulkheading into the tank with the intake, that way nothing is seen.
If you can fit one in, likley there is room to run a couple of intakes down one side of the box.
