No, I don't have one. I'm looking for one myself, and I noticed there seems to be a bit of a demand on this forum.

I know of one place in the US that sells N. wennerae (3" smashers suitable for a 5 gallon tank that look a lot like Peacock Mantis'), and they cost $50 US shipped in the US. Unfortunately, they don't ship across the border due to permits, etc. From what I gather, they do have a bunch on hand right now.

I figure if enough people are interested, someone might be able to make a group order then ship them around Canada. I think this might make it cost-effective. If anyone knows of a dealer or a hobbyist who can accomodate a bunch of these critters, and is willing to re-ship them, I think it could work. I don't know much about shipping livestock, though.

This sounds more like a business venture for a local dealer. I just really badly want a dang Mantis Shrimp that'll fit in my 6 gallon tank.

Here's a link to N. wennerae:

Harlequin Mantis? Is that the same as a Peacock? or Odontodactylus scyllarus?

Here's a good site on Mantis Identification if you haven't seen it before:

Harlequin and Peacock are the same, but you never know if the LFS mislabels them...

I'm in Winnipeg. tbsaltwater.com sells the N. wennerae, but I doublechecked: they aren't willing to ship over the border. Someone would have to pick up the order at a US airport.

It's too bad you aren't alittle closer.

I'd let this mantis go to a good home.

(She would do ok in a 6g tank)

Hey, if you're willing to stick her on a Greyhound, let me know...

How long have you had this Mantis? How big is it?
