I recently bought a Spotted Sweetlip from ****** He said it would be fine in my 32 gal, But I have been doing some research and it looks like it should be in a min 75gal and it is not a very good fish for beginers. Any input would be apreciated.

I have never had one of these fish but did see one diving recently and they get very big! Apparently they grow quite rapidly and are not reef safe (they will eat inverts). They can get over 2 feet long and I believe a 150g tank is recommended. They are also challenging to get to eat anything but live food. They are a beautiful fish and I did consider buying one at one time but changed my mind after doing some research.
You may be better off seeing if you can exchange this fish for one more suitable for you tank size and fish keeping experience.

You're research is proving more accurate than the advice you were given. Take it back for exchange or refund.
