Greetings,
Any suggestions on a flake type of food which is not just vegetarian, trying to allow some of my smaller fish a better variety for the occasional flake dinner.
The brand that you use & why if you don't mind.
Thanks
Dwight

my fish get a staple diet of prime reef and formula 2. everyone seems to go nuts on it. i feed it twice a day, i only rarely give them mysis or frozen foods.

I don't know why but my fish prefer Flake Frenzy over prime reef or formula 2. Some fish do pick out a specific color of flake though.

Thanks for the feed back. Looks like the prime reef is the way too go

There is also OSI marine flake food. I feed that to my fish, and they seem fond of it. Available from MOPS.

I like NLS flake food. New Life Spectrum.

It's good stuff... read good things as well, all my fish love it.

I heard very good things about NLS pellets, so I spent $25.00 on a container of them. My fish would not look at them. In the end I gave them away to a person whose fish do like them.

Primarily feed mysis and nori but for flake, fish seems to love whatever comes free in pails of IO (getting impression brand doesn't matter).

I can get NLS here at Gold's in Calgary. It's fairly cheap.. and the container is packed full .. I'll have enough flake to last me another year or so.. (honestly)

So, yes.. it can be found... right here in Calgary :)

I've used Reef Prime but have heard good things about NLS flakes. Will probably get that next time.
