I just spotted this item in a recent Lee valley catalogue. It appears to be the same gel super glue that is commonly used for attaching frags. The bottle is 1oz (29ml) for less than the cost of two of the 4ml bottles of Loctite brand that I have been using.

They also sell replacement tops if the original gets blocked.

Who knew that Lee valley was actually a LFS

I think you can find a better deal at the House of Tools. I bought the same glue for $10-$11 (2fl OZ.)...should check it out.

Will
can you provide the exact name of the glue you buy from house of tools? there is one locally and I'm looking to buy some.

Does anybody use epoxy from other sources (that is cheaper) rather than LFS?

Its available at most model shops. I think I paid ~$9 for mine.

Special "T", it's the green bottle in the first post. It's not a gel, more like thin syrup....they don't have anything thicker than that consistancy.

interesting they described it as cold molasses. Will - Do you store it in the freezer? It might stay thicker for a bit before it warms up

I store it in the fridge, but I don't think storage has much to do with it becuase when you go to use it, it will be at room temp and that temp it will become thinner regardless. I don't believe the glue will set fast enough if it was any thicker, unless you allow it to dry partially under water. I prefer having it dry almost completely in the air. The thicker it is the longer it takes to set.
