Hey, This stuff found at HD or Rona says it's 100% non-toxic (baby safe)
It's used to repair bathtubs, sinks, tile...

Do you think it would be safe to use in our aquariums?

I was thinking of spraying some pipes with the 'Great Stuff' Foam and then painting it with this Klenk stuff....

Any thoughts?

I wouldn't, it may have some sort of mildew repelant in it.

Usually 100% non-toxic means that it's food safe. There should be no anti-fungal or anti-mildew (arsenic) agents in epoxy. Epoxy is a non porous resin, so there should be no reason to add any chemicals to repel mold. People who build wood tanks use marine expoxy without any issues. As for "great stuff", that's polyurethane based. It foams up as a filler so I hope you're not using it as a glue of sorts. Are you trying to insulate your pipes that are underwater?

I was just going to use the foam to hide the pipes, and add texture to them.
People use it (uncoated) to build faux backgrounds, but say that it's a good idea to paint it.

Some guys use krylon paint.. but i don't want to F-up and buy the wrong kind.

So I was at HD and saw this bath tub epoxy enamel stuff and it said it was 100% baby safe (no lead).

I'll check for the anti-mildew stuff, but I don't think it has any...
