I bought a Nano off eBay but after talking to one of the gods of reef aquariums (aka Ruth) I know she will point you to Nano Tuners and I wish I had gone there instead (more bang for my buck)

i found that J&L will probably be the best place to get it. $366 shipped to my door for a 12 JBJ with stand..

I have 2 X 12g and 1 X 24g JBJ nano cubes currently. Although I am happy with these I do find them to be lacking in light requirement for some corals. On my 24g. I removed the lid and have a 175MH light with 2 VHO actinics in a hanging fixture. I was really unimpressed with JBJ's service however - I had a 24g break on me 2 days after setting it up and could not get any response from them at all and as I bought if off e-bay the seller was not willing to work with me either. Chris from Nano tuners was excellent and I ordered a replacement tank from him as well as replacement light tubes for my other 2 tanks. I have ordered and am waiting on this tank

It is supposed to be fairly cool and I will be replacing the 12g at my office with this new tank.

Ruth,

I have heard a lot of bad things about ordering from the States, like border charges. Did you have this problem?

There are a couple of threads kicking around on this - try a search as I am at work and don't have time to look right now. Anyway my experience is get the seller to ship USPS. As long as the product is made in the States there should not be any customs or duties (in a nutshell). UPS and Fedex charge large brokerage fees so if possible avoid them as a shipper. If I use USPS I usually have to pay the applicable GST and PST on pickup and a small brokerage fee - usually around $5.
