Starting to get a few years old but fabulously filmed nonetheless. I have the DVD's, totally recommend it.

I bought it a little while back from Chapters and I love it. I have watched it a number of times now. Worth every penny spent.

.. Allthough some of the British pronounciation of words makes me laugh

I just have the one DVD with the Coral Seas on it, and I love it. I want to get the other two DVDs soon too. The cinematography, like any other BBC work, is amazing! Highly recommended.

Would love to own the set. Any idea if they are available in Canada? Or anyone feel like selling theirs?

I looked at a few place and I am now confused as to how many dvd's are in total for the complete set. Some places showed 2 dvd's while others showed 4 dvd's. How many is it exactly and how many hours in total?

There are 4 DVD's all together.
They sell them singularly, 2 packs and a 4 pack box set.
I highly recommend the entire set. Of the many DVD's I've bought and rented this is by far the best of all of them.

Each DVD has 2 episodes each almost an hour long, plus special features and making of documentaries. Plus the special features and behind the scenes are actually worth watching. You will find a 5 out of 5 review on every site that carries them.

Futureshop, HMV, and A&B Sound all carry them. (Futureshop has free shipping)
The box set is usually 69.99-74.99.

My personal favorites are the Deep Sea and the Coral Reef episodes.

I picked mine up in store at chapters. I think it was $69 if I remeber correctly, but if you have the chapters card you get 10% off that.

I went ahead and bought this box set last week. I've been able to watch the first 3 dvds so far, and I'd have to say they are good. I'd probably give them 4/5 stars. The only reason they don't get 5/5 is because there seems to be a bit of repetition in a few of the dvds. Oh, and there were far too many birds in the first 2 dvds. (4 episodes) I bought this series to watch ocean life, not bird life. I also suspect more birds in the last dvd, especially the one on coasts... but who knows, I could be wrong.

Thumbs up for the first 3 dvds!

Thumbs down for the kazillion bird shots. (well ok the dive bombing birds were really cool..)

I couldn't find a copy! Chapters/Indigo doesn't have it in stock, A&B sound just sold their last copy, and the 2 HMVs near me show 1 in their system but can't find the actual dvds

Guess I will just order it from Chapters online, sais shipping is 1-2 weeks.

Don't believe Futureshop's online stocking count. They said they didn't have it when I ordered it too. But I had it within a week.

Phyto-plan'ktOn we made fun of the narrator for saying that but it was a very good buy and enjoyed it.

Also killer whales are jerks.
