Theres been a few different ways. I might be in for a metal halide bulb. We'll see how many people express interest?

Does anyone still need to do a dry order? I really want to get a coralife super skimmer they are so cheap there. I would like to have the order delivered at the end of the month

Big Als carries Super skimmers and they will match prices with JL Aquatics. Just print off the Item from jlaquatics.com and bring it in to big als. I did this for a super skimmer and my coralife PC's. That way you dont have to wait. Ohh almost forgot.... You have to spend over $200 or Big als with charge you the eqivalent shipping you would have to pay at JL (jlaquatics has free shipping on dry goods over when you spend $200).

Why not support J&L, their normal pricing kicks Big Al's? By forcing Big Al's to price match we take away our support from a supplier that gives us better pricing constantly.

Is there a group order happening?

I agree with the statement completely and admire your loyalty. You shop like I do. However it is the customer that is the deciding factor in pricing. If enough people demand that their pricing reflect going market value, a responsible retailer will adapt accordingly. Or we could hope anyways.

I have no credit card to shop at jl with...so it makes life difficult. Plus i can not always be around at the right times to recieve livestock etc by courier, whereas local shops i go when i can...i have a busy life..i certainly can't fit it around my fish unfortunatly.

Doesn't really help with the credit card issue, but for delivery I have the same issue, so I pay a bit more and they fly it out to me at night and I pick it up at the airport.

For dry goods just specify no signature required, or pick it up at the depot yourself works too.

Careful with the Purple Tang.

I got one from J&L about a month ago and it was super skinny. He's doing better now and getting fatter every day, but it was a close call. (especially since I have other tangs)

I am not sure exactly how it works. If anyone has done one before can you take the lead otherwise I guess I will. I am waiting to here back from jl to see if they'll inform me when the purple tangs come in.

You need to decide if you are doing a live order or a dry goods order.

That's what I thought but I never knew why.

i can lead on a live goods order. ill contact J&L tomorrow to set things up, and post up the info for everyone once thats done. Im thinking delivery around march 3rd or 4th, depending when/what fish are coming in in the next couple weeks. If thats a problem let me know.

I've got a list of dry goods i need, but i think ill be blowing my allowance on livestock :D
