Anyone else interested in some PC bulbs?

Found a good deal here and if there is a couple of us it really will be worth it.

I know they are Jebo but when you work it out its only $13+- per bulb. Even with express shipping.

Let me know

I don't know about PC bulbs, is there anything wrong with Jebo?

Anyhow at that kind of price I'd be in for a bunch. I have a pile of fixtures with old bulbs. I'd be in for (at least) 2x6500 for my FW and 2x12000K and maybe 1 actinic. Or maybe 1 50/50 as well..

What kind of numbers do we need to make a go of this?

Brite Lite in Calgary sells 55watt 23" 10000k PC's... got 5 for $7.15 each...

They are getting in Actinic next friday....

Thats where I bought my whole ballast bulbs plug setup...

I could get in for 1 of the 50/50 bulbs for my FOWLR tank. The bulb in it is only three months old now, but for that price I would pick up a replacement to have on hand.

I was probably going to buy 3 - 10000k and 3 - Actinic for myself. So most likely we will be looking at 3 boxes or more.

Lets give it a couple of more days and see who else wants to jump in. Then we can finalize everything with the seller.

I imagine Jebo is probably the same quality as everyone else. I am sure they are made in China by one manufacturer and just stamped with different names. From there every company marks them up differently.

Maybe someone else who has an ebay account can try and get a hold of this guy. He has not responded to 3 emails of mine, yet he has great feedback.

It seems like we would be most likely interested in about 3 boxes in total, i will keep extras in case others are in need of some. Plus 2 18 watt replacement UV bulbs.

If we could try and figure out how much shipping would be i would put in the order.

Thanks

Personally, I think the local Brite-Lite option for the 55W is a great idea. Their 6500K is a sheer white, and bright as blazes. Unless they switched suplliers again, they rock.

I know you're keen on the others, but just in case.

Cheers,
Alan

Thanks Alan. I have considered them as well. The problem is i need some actinic as well as 10,000K so it limits me.

Do a RC search on jebo Steve, I could have sworn I read on there,
That the first thing you do when you get a jebo fixture is throw out the crappy jebo bulbs.

SJSobczyk

See from what i heard its the Jebo fixtures, but i could be wrong? As with most products they are all manufactured by one manufacturer and then sold to different companies from there. I would take the risk on getting 12 bulbs to Calgary for roughly $120. Even if they are not great at least i will know.

Ok well since its almost Friday i think i will delay this until early next week. I am considering brining in 24 bulbs in total (2 boxes). This will work out to roughly $10.50/bulb, which is a smoking deal after all is said and done. This includes GST, brokerage fees and duties (hopefully).

Anyone else please pm me if interested. I will definitly have extras!

Hi Steve,
I would be interested in a couple 12000k's and a couple of actinics. I am pretty sure that is the same retailer I bought my first set of Jebo bulbs from and they have been just fine. I ran a brand new set of the Jebo 12000k and actinics in a brand new 24" lunar aqualight right next to a brand new set of coralife bulbs (also in a new 24" lunar aqualight). I set up a 6 foot tank with these two fixtures running side by side (same amount of time) and I could not see a single difference from one side of the tank to the other as it went through the different fazes (except that one side had a bluish actinic and the other was purple). Just thought this might help some of the others that are having concerns about these bulbs.

Have a great day
Eric

Alright today is the last day to put in your order. I will be placing my order online tomorrow. I will be purchasing for 2 boxes of 12 bulbs. Already 12 bulbs are spoken for so there is extras.

By the way, they also carry uv bulbs if anyone needs replacements. I am probably going to get 2 extra ones, at a fraction of the cost of a coralife unit.

Are they Square pin, or Straight pin?

SJSobczyk

They are strait pin but they do also offer converters from square to strait.

That is the other way around. The adapter adapts the straight to square.

Left yesterday night (03/08/06). No clue when it will arrive though, all depends on customs.

Everything arrived today, but since i am at work i cannot look over everything to make sure it is in good shape. I will contact everyone tonight once i look it all over and make sure nothing is broken.

Worked out to be $11.00/bulb, or if someone wants to be exact $10.83 ( i love pennies)

Alright guys i went thru the box last night and it looks as though 2 actinic were broken. So i am going to be getting my money back from the seller (great guy). The fair way to do it is the last one that ordered the actinic wont be gettting any.....sorry....unless someone else really doesnt need theirs.

PM's coming your way!

According to my calculations everyone should be getting an actinic if they ordered one or two. I must of been off in my original numbers!
