I'm looking for 3 55-75 Gallon tanks to hold RO/DI water, and pre-mixed saltwater. Previously used plastic drums might do the trick, but I can't figure out where to get them.

Fabco sells some 50 gallon tanks for $164.00...There must be a cheaper way..Anyone know any place in greater-Vancouver?

King eds sells old 55g drums for $20 each. BUT, they perviously held some sort of chemical, i bought one, rinsed it out a bunch, but didn't end up using it.

Another thing you can use is rainbarrels. The city of Vancouver sells 75g rainbarrels to its residents, they have a tap at the bottom, VERY useful. Or you could just find a place that sells rainbarrels. Another option is finding a place that sells galvanized troughs. They come in sizes up to a couple hundred gallons

I've seen lots of plastic barrels out at the Cloverdale Flea Mkt. You'll have to make sure that they are food-safe (didn't used to store chemicals in it before).

richmond also sells in the summer rain barrels but they are old soap containers and still have a perfume residue, im not sure that's reef safe or not.

I buy my barrels at Otter Co-op on Fraser hwy/248th in Aldergrove, $25 each.
They have the white ones and also blue ones that had pickles in it.
They are clean and tops have been cut open.
Hope this helps.
