View Full Version : Anyone using a Coralife Aqualight Pro?
I'm thinking of buying one in the near future for my 90 gallon.(48")
Good enough or should I go a different route?
Using pc right now and having a tough time keeping corals healthy(See alive) and therfore loosing a bit of interest in my box O water. :(
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

One of, if not the best light out there, in my opinion.

Yup... got one over my 72 bow right now, had it over a 90... awesone light, well built, looks & runs sleek... Highly recommended.
I have 2 of these light fixtures. I don't know if I agree with best light on the market I think there are lots better but definately a good light fixture and works great for me. If I had my druthers I would go all Geisemann but that's pretty expensive. On my new tank I am going with the luxmark111 reflectors with 400W electronic ballast.

I have one over my 72 and I love it. However, I should mention that it still has its limitations as it is only 2x150 and 2x96, therefore, you probably wouldn't be able to keep high-light-demanding sps, but should be ok for a lot of the "entry-level" sps.
If you don't plan to keep sensitive sps, then you should be ok. Like I said, I love mine.

I use a 48" on my 90 gal and I love it.They are nice and slim and have a seperate switch for the actinics, moonlights and each ballast has their own switches as well.

I have the 48" over my 75. Works great. Wish the cooling fans were more powerful. True it has 2 x 150 HQI , but output is supposed to be equivelent to 2 x 175 according to coral life. Also on the 48" its odd it has only 3 moonlights. I would have thought either 2 or 4 for balanced illumination.

I have a the 24" unit over my 36 and I love it. It's only 1 150 MH but it works great for my tank. I would suggest waiting for the 250 w MH if you're wanting to keep more higher light corals, it's just not worth skimping on the lights. Good luck.

I am happy with my Aqualight Pro on my 90g, I opted for ceiling hanger since it was a pain to get in the tank with the legs that came with it.
My complaint would be the weak cooling system.
I recently put the Geiseman 150W Megachrome Marine bulb in and I am very happy with the nice crisp white of these bulbs compared to the coralife bulb.
