Yeah that made the rounds when Finding Nemo came out a few years ago. There was a huge uproar then and an email campaign to Tetra. I don't have any idea what the email campaign resulted in.

Don't forget the water conditioner

A gallon per inch of fish huh, wasn't that a 3 inch Regal Tang :bad-word: and then lets add two clows and a couple of seahorses and some starfish now lets watch the tank inhabitants die. Americans are not so smart

That was beautiful. Truly inspirational. Float the bags for 5 or 10 minutes. That oughta do it. Throw in a bunch of water conditioner to bind all the oxygen right before you introduce the fish, too. And - most importantly - don't forget the plastic _decorations_ <edited to avoid associations with xenophobia -- just tacky, is all>.

I wonder how many "nemos" that little segment killed?

I found it interesting that "acclimating the fish to your water" meant floating the bag for 5 mins and then dumping it in. Actually the woman made quite a few "off the wall" comments that made me shake my head.

A little light reading for anyone that missed it :p

Ah, thanks for the very informative vid. It inspired me to name my oldest clown Nemo. Is there any additional info on where they found the tank raised Tang or did they take care of that themselves during the show? Was the blond lady Norwegian?
