The new version 1.1 of Serene Screen has been released and has a new fish: Red Volitan Lionfish

I've got the WinXP one which at first glance looks identical. Lemme know if you want it, I'll email it to you.

PS.. It is very cool. It has 6 of the fish I actually have in my tank, so it's pretty neat.

Yes, it is the same software. The new version 1.1 though has a few new features. Like version 1.0, I think the demo version allows you to have 3 fish at the same time and the retail version allows you to have 7. It would be cool if the lionfish would swallow the blue damsel. images/smiles/icon_smile.gif I think I read on the forum that you will eventually be able to buy individual fish for your virtual reef like a mandarin or blue ribbon eel.

Version 1.1 has the following features:


Red Volitan Lionfish

New fish avoidance where bigger fish scare smaller fish sometimes

Background color range has been improved to include black, dark blue, blue, and green.
(press LEFT and RIGHT arrows!)

Better password protection under Windows 95, 98, and ME
(No Ctrl-Tab, Ctrl-Esc, Alt-Tab, etc.)

"Dead floating starfish" bug fixed for good!

"Stabilize Aquarium to 60 frames per second" mode

"Keep Starfish Off Glass" mode

Starfish position is saved between runs of the Aquarium.

Installer

3dfx Voodoo card 'Compatibility Mode' on Windows XP by turning off texture compression
(press Ctrl-T)

Sound is now stored AD/PCM again like 99K, so the Aquarium is 1 MB including the installer!!

Automatic keycode detection*

7 slots set to RANDOM on first install**

Screen Saver panel awareness in Display Properties much improved
