Wai's is a great little store... very small, but ram jam to the rafters with all kinds of coral and fishy goodness... we get screwed here in edmonton... 2 mediocre stores in Edmonton(not even going to include the Koi shop) vs 2-3 great stores, and a couple of not so great ones in Calgary. I think that I need to open a store in Edmonton. Show them all who's boss!! lol.

Wais is on the 300block of 16ave ne in calgary. North side of the road, across from Peters Drive in.

AI's got some pretty cool stuff (was just there yesterday, got an eviota goby, and a sweet acan frag). Wais is roughly on par with AI - pricing is very similar.

I'm jealous of that aquagiant - and I hear he's going SW in the new year... But screw that - the hardware is CHEAP!

I go to AI all the time and each time that I've been to Wai's I've found it to be WAY better... maybe it's just because I only get there every now and again and it's new stuff vs the same stuff 3 times a week at AI (yeah yeah, I'm an addict).

I was just in some Calgary stores over this weekend. Wai's has them for $35 bucks.

I dont think I seen any at "Gold's" in Calgary though but he had some nice corals there.

Yeah Edmonton sucks when it comes to livestock, mainly to expensive. Did you see the sick porcupine puffers at AI (here in Edmonton) they are selling them for $79.99! Yeah Calgary you can get one for $50.00. So just an example.

Or hey how about those Powder Blue Tang's at AI for $159.00 or get one at Gold's in Calgary for $50-$60 bucks. What a difference hey?

Yeah perhaps. I have never seen any puffers ever at Golds to ever be able to reference any amount to. But at Wai's (which seems to be the most expensive place in Calgary) is a pork puff selling for $50.00. Although you can always talk him down $5.00 bucks or so.

Anyway the moral of the story..... Calgary cheaper. If you can make a trip to a meeting or car pool with a bunch of reefers for a day its totally worth it and you will find good finds.
