I have to say I was over at Johnny Reefer's place the other night and the pictures don't do it justice, even with the plants just floating in the water my first reaction was "WOW" that goes for his other tank also.

Thanx very much for all the kind words and positive feedback, everyone. It makes it more rewarding and worthwhile.

The tank is a 90g. 48"L x 24"H x 18"W.

The Discus are about 4" to 4 1/2".

Nice tank Mark. What are you running for equipment (a friend of mine just asked me) What filters and filter media do you use?

Thanx Ruth.
I have two Fluval 404 canisters with the intakes plumbed onto an UG filter.
Also, a Rainbow Lifegard 600 Fluidized Bed.
For media I use 228g carbon; 46g RowaPhos; 2 x 7.4 oz. NitraZorb pouches; 2 Chemi Pure; about 2 tablespoons of crushed coral; and the rest is filled with BioMax.
Further to that, I vacuum the substrate once/month using a HOT Magnum filter, with an acordian type filter cartridge, to trap the detritus.
I also have a poorman's CO2 injector (bottom right corner) and I dose 7.5ml of "Flourish" once/week.
The lights are 2 x 40W PowerGlos.

Cheers,

Manny
