All I have left is to firmly secure all the plumbing underneath the stand and build the overflow box. smile.gif Then this weekend it's time for a water test. smile.gif

As an FYI.

the tank is a 45 cube with a 29 tall refugium next to it. The sump is another 45 cube. All plumbing is 1.5" PVC.

The extra PVC coming back into the sump right after the ampmaster is there for water testing. After all is tested it gets hooked up to my bullet 3 skimmer in a separate cabinet with my Ca reactor and CO2 bottle.

As well there will be a MAG9 closed loop that isn't shown yet. The MAG will rest between the two tanks.

Looking good DJ!

Just curious, where did you get your 45g cubes?

What kind of cement did you use at the joints? Standard pvc cement or something else?

Thanks guys. Having fun with this. Great break away from studying.

Tony,

Both were from Sea Star in Victoria. Just over $115 with a single hole for a bulkhead.

Simon,

Standard PVC cement with a clear primer I had kicking around.

Looking good, let me know if you have enough soft line to keep the pump vibrations out of the tanks. I may have to redo some of my hard piping.

I'll keep ya posted Lee. Going to water test it this week.

What size pump are you running on this system? GPH? Those pipes look like they can handle some volume.

Terry,

I went with large dia. tubing so I will have high volume but a lower velocity..

With that said.

It's an Ampmaster 3000.

I will be T'ing it off so 1/2 the water goes to the skimmer.
