Anybody ever used these snails in there reef for algae control?

If they are good, would anyboy else want to order some to split the shipping?

Those are nassarius snails that primarily live in the sandbed, ime. Don't know if they can be shipped to Canada from the US.

Those snails are a cold water species much like Margarita snails. In reef tank temperatures, their life span will be greatly shortened.

Also, if you could get them from the US, shipping would be expensive as it would have to be Express or overnighted as I doubt they would survive a week in a bag of water.

I should also note that they are not Nassarius snails and don't eat much, if any algae.

The product description describes them as Nassarius obsoleta aka Illynassarius obsoleta,but FWIW, because further down the page it states that shipping is within the US only.

Not to mention if you want to stay locale there Tim, I just picked up half a dozen at Big Al's last week and they were suppose to be getting more in.

It kills me to spend a ton of money on snails ...I did go to golds yesterday and get some though.
