One side of my tank and a few small pockets are slowly being overrun with these shrooms. Any painless eradication tips???

I had a few of those and I tried some boiling water on them (was doing aptasia at the same time) and they didn't die..so maybe joe's juice might work?

I've heard of injecting them with vinegar too, but how many of us have syringes at home...unless you know someone diabetic..

Quite by accident (we were going after Aiptasia), we've found that Joe's Juice does indeed work

$0.25 from the pharmacy counter at Walmart. Works great for boiling water injections. And will not rust :)

I don't see any blue shrooms in your pic?

I do see some button polyps/zoanthids though.

Man, this thread is goin' nowhere fast.
You're right, bluetang. I don't see where you said "blue" either, however you did say "shrooms" to which I would have to agree that they are not.
But I digress, as that is not the original question here.
I agree with tryin' Joe's Juice on them if you want to rid them.

Cheers,

Oh my bad about the blue shroom part. You can get rid of those zoanthids by nuking them with Kalk paste. They will come back though unless you really put on a thick layer!

What about the kalk paste residue? Wouldnt that affect the pH of the tank? Should it be removed after a time?
