So I bought this coral a few weeks ago, nice big piece... which was a big mistake. My 20g is too small for this big piece..

As much as I LOVE this type of coral, I just can't make room for it, and would like room for other corals as well.

This piece is huge, and I am very sorry I have no picture available, the piece is probably about 7-8" long, definitely a good piece.

I am willing to trade, the piece cost me 55$ .. I am looking for a nice hammer coral, preferablly with green coloration in it, also looking for torch coral, ricordia, any kind of funky zoanthids... mainly looking for a nice hammer !

Shoot me a PM if you're interested !

Are you going to frag a piece to keep for yourself? I know that it can be done but don't personally know how easy it is to do. I think all you have to worry about is not damaging too much flesh. Just make a clean break of the skeleton then take a sharp knife and cut the flesh above the skeleton.

Just a thought.

Hey thanks.. maybe I will try and frag a tiny piece off! I will look around for some links on fragging.

If I do frag it, I will drop the price !

I'll let you know.

Becareful fragging the coral. Actually, I'm not sure if you can safely frag it.

No fragging then. Piece stays as is... it's a nice piece anyhow.. I don't want to break it in any way either.

So price stands ... $50

Is it a branching coral? If so, you can frag it.

Ive fraged my pearl bubble. The skeleton was about 8" long, and I fraged it into about 5 pieces. Just cut the skeleton with side cutters, it will break the skeleton up to the flesh. Then take a razor blade and cut the meat. Even small pieces that are left over from fragging will grow, as long as your water quality is good.

It's not branching and I am still not going to frag this piece. I have no experience and don't want to ruin this nice big piece in any way.

I tried this with a hammer coral and failed. :frown:

Is it actually that color, or is it just the lighting. If it really that color that's pretty sweet. Do you have a pic?

The piece is still up for sale/trade guys !

40$ is the asking price now... which is more than fair given the size of the coral.

I just got halides so any kind of purple digitata, or whatever color besides brown ... I would be willing to trade for, or acro frags, etc... caps... anything

If you can and want to help me out just let me know !

ok guys need this piece gone... 30$ .. or trades.. offers... i want it gone by the end of this weekend.

i cant provide optimal environment for it because the piece is so big, and my tank is so small, so it recieves too much flow and often is not happy as can be.

it needs a bigger tank. help me out !

Damn, I would take it in a heartbeat, but my tank is pretty much the same as yours. 20gal with lots of flow for the SPS. There's got to be someone in Calgary that would buy this beauty.

Heh, yeah definatley not meant for your tank then

I think pearl bubbles are one of the nicest LPS IMO , when they're sweeper tentacles are out especially.

Anyways , I hope there's someone out there willing to trade/buy it from me.
