Hi every one I just got a red starfish and I was wondering what does it eat and if I can feed it any thing.

Seriously though, most startfish are detivours and opportunistic scavengers to the best of my knowledge.

Hi Christyf5 I was going to post this on the Island posting but I don't know how it ended up in Reefs.
I see that you are in Nanaimo. Are you in school there? I read that you just added a calcum reactor. How is that working out for you?

Got this star fish from J&L Hey I have one of those (I bought it at the same place too) But yah since I've added mine in the tank (about 8 mos. ago) I don't feed it anything . . . . I believe they eat algae and detrius ... cant confirm tho . . . Mine is still alive . . . :mrgreen:

This thread is in the reef forum because I moved it. The club forums are just used for meetings and group buys and such.
Yes I live in Nanaimo, no I don't go to school and I added the calcium reactor about 2 and a half years ago and it works great. :biggrin:
