I may be interested. I am starting a 108 gallon salt tank. FOWLR Would this suffice?

Aqua C rates the Remora good up to 75gals.

A tank your size would be pushing this skimmers limits. At least I am being honest.

I appreciate the honesty.

Im interested in this, because my bakpak is too loud. My dad wants to hear a remora in action first(anyone in edmonton have one that I could come by and listen to? hehe thanks).

Just letting you know of my interest. Thanks.

i run one of those on my 75 gallon
its pretty quiet but i find it doesn't produce much skimmate
i was looking to try out a bakpak
oh yeah, and the remora is super easy to maintain

Everyone on www.nano-reef.com raves about Remoras.
They are very good skimmers and I really liked this one. But my tank plans changed and I needed an in sump style skimmer.

The best part of this skimmer is its ease of operation.
Hang it on the tank, plug in the pump and away you go. Only have to move the collection cup up or down to adjust for wet or dry skimmate.
The design of this skimmer ensures that no matter how full the collection cup gets, it will never overflow.

As for noise, it is farely quiet. That said, I dont think that a silent skimmer exists.

is there a difference between the remora and remora pro besides the MJ1200 and mag3 that come with them?

The Pro version is quite a bit larger in height and width. Otherwise I believe they are identical.

Thanks everyone for the help with opinions.
I think I will buy one.... hehehe!
I really liked mine, but once my sump is built, I will have no room for an external skimmer. Since I am using one of the Oceanic cube stands, the internal space available is limited, so my sump will be the maximum size I can make it.
