View Full Version : Frag casserole
I was doing some work on the frag system and had to move some. I put them in this casserole plate and had this dumb thought in my head so thought I'd share.

Jamie, do you add ketchup to that BEFORE it goes in the oven? Or after?

hey how long can they be out of the water like that?
Steve
Steve, I would have to geuss on that one, but I have had frags out of water for over 3 hours and only lost one type. If I take them out its for 15 or 20 min. I have heard good things about dry shipping so on that note 12 hours as long as it's in a humid enviroment.I am talking only about stoneys.I would think heavy mucusing corals would handle the out of water thing better.

John showed me a pic of some acros in Austrailia that are exposed to the sun for the full duration of low tide. They slime up to protect themselves from drying out. I suppose you would want to be careful putting too many slimed corals back in the water without a big skimmer.
