to sell something to someone else when the first person who contacted you doesn't ever set up a specific time to come by? But rather says...

"see you soon" and doesn't answer your request for him/her to call and set up a time????

If you have no means of contacting them and you have waited a couple days(or a reasonable time-frame), then I dont think it is.

The rude part is the buyer not following thru.

IME, IMO.

people bail on sales of stuff all the time on this board. i say the first to come with the cash is first to get to take stuff home.

send a e-mail saying "sence you haven't contacted me yet I am going to post the item up for sale again unless you get ahold of me in 48 hours."

or somthing like that then if no contact sell away.

If you have no way of getting a hold of them then yes sell it. If you can fire off an email then I'd do so, it depends though on how much you NEED to make the sale or NEED to get the item out of the way etc etc.

Yes its bad when the buyer says they want it, but doesn't agree to a time for pickup. However it is also bad when a time is set for a few days down the road, then the seller sends the buyer a PM saying they already sold it.

I agree, very bad. Its one of the things that cheeses me off the most when selling stuff.

I agree unless you make solid plans then give the buyer a courtesy email with a dead line for response/sale. If you dont hear back from them then back on the board it goes.
