Found this (http://www.foodinspectionweb.vcha.ca/Nav-Main.htm) website for the public health inspection of restaurants in Vancouver and I will no longer eat at my previously favourite sushi place.

When doing fire inspections of restaraunts, I've discovered some places that I will never eat at... and ones that I will. Seems like the places with the worst kitchens have the nicest dining rooms.
I helped a guy do some work on a lobster tank at a restaraunt once. They gave us free food for lunch, we took it as takeout, trashed it and went somewhere else. The place was disgusting.

I've eaten at quite a few places that were dirty as anything but served amazing food.
I guess I am brave...
Although I did check my fave restaurants and they are all fine, except for minor things like the glass washer not getting enough chlorine, etc.
Interesting link though :)

That is why home cook meal is always the best
All restaurants have roaches, it's not the ones you can see you worry about  . I have done work in kitchens that I thought were spotless, and when I get into the fryers, stoves, or fridges you would not believe what I have found.

haha that's so morbid!
Can anyone look up that restaurant we all ate at during the Vancouver Aquarium tour? I forget the name. Maybe we will all regret eating there.

I was looking for these pics, totally forgot where I put them.
Here is an example of one of the most dirty restaurants I have eaten in, with amazingly excellent food :)
First, the food I ate:

I don't know if you guys know, there is a related site about restaurant closures due to various unsanitory conditions; you can choose the years that they were forced to close as well:
