Is there any way to sex cleaner shrimp? I have my first pair now and want to know what the odds are of them spawning.

Pretty good. They're simultaneous hermaphrodites. I.e., they have both girl parts and boy parts. You just need two to make a pair, any two.

Yep, any two will do....BTW Danny, those two have spawned in my tank a few times already... great fish snack!

Cool! Incidently the lionfish hasn't even looked at them in a hungry kind of way. Lucky me!

Glad to hear .. I was a little worried about them and the transport to your tank, you know how inverts are... glad they pulled through . I like cleaner shrimps, but not when I have 5 BTA's to feed ! They are little thieves, and my BTA's never get a good meal.

How's the regal tang doing as well?

He's fine but shy. He doesn't eat the nori I got him either. He does eat everything else I put in the tank though. Tony, is this bad for him? Does he need nori or other sea weeds to help him digest?

They don't need Nori. I have two that are a couple of years old. They have never seen Nori.

Does that go the same for Coral Banded shrimps? Not that I really want more than one, just curious.

No, the sexes are seperate on the Stenopus species.
