1 Corner of my aquarium (178 gal) is sitting up off the stand, but is level. Can anyone direct me to info regarding under tank shimming. There is a 1 foot section i need to shim. 3/16". I need to know which material to use. styro... wood?
Any info would be appeciated
use those composite shims from Rona or home Depot. The cedar ones are soft wood and will compress over time.

Dez are they tappered?
My other thought was to use some type of stryofoam under the whole tank that would compress. any thoughts.

Yes, they are tapered. I have an engineer friend with 10 feet of tank and this is what he uses. I used them when I had a 150. they are great.
Hope this helps.
