I was thinking in picking up 2 of theses pumps, for water movment in my tank. I have a 6 foot tank, I would like to put one on each end. Theres a few different models. 620, 820, 1100,1500. Has anyone tried theses powerhead pumps? If so what do you reconmend. If each one would move about 3 feet would be great. I just dont want to buy one thats to powerfull or not enough. I would like not to sent my coral flying. Thanks

My "Personal" opinion is save a get a Tunze.

Some seam to have great luck, others don't (And I'm one of the others)

Thanks for the information, now I'm confused, to take the chance or not. I have a freind who is using the tunze, its great , but the flow would be to much for me. I think my crush coral would blow all over, its very fine.

I wish I could give you a answer. I'm biased because I've had problems, but there are many other's here that have had none. Try one but keep the recipt?

I have had a Seio 820 in my 4" 120gal for about 10 weeks now and have not had a problem. I realy like the seio. It moves the water well. imo. In a six foot tank you would want to get the bigger pumps. The 1500 is rather large and bulky looking so you may want to look at the 1100 in stead.

But that said I agree with Walter....... if you have the money buy the Tunze.

I have both a Tunze 6060 & a Seio 1500 in my 100g FOWLR & if I could afford it, I would love to go with just the proven Tunze, but since I can't, I've been quite pleased with the performance of the Seio. If you remove most of the outer coverings, the Seio is just a little bigger than the Tunze, but the Tunze uses only 13w/hr
