hey guys,

i'm wanting to get into web/graphic design... i'm a newb and dont know where to start...

anyone got some insight... anything to get me going in the right direction...

i'm doing this for personal knowledge, as i've always had an interest in it... and who knows, if i'm good at it... maybe there's a future in it for me...

are there any online tutorials for reference? programs to use? courses to take?

TIA.

I'm no expert by any means, But i'd start with php myself. But there is Java, pearl, and html... not sure where to start either. I'm sure there is some more experienced people that will help out more than I can.

well... If I were you, I'd learn the basic html first. Here's a nice little tutorial http://www.htmlcodetutorial.com/. Once you have the basics, learn basic CSS http://www.w3schools.com/css/default.asp to format your pages. I'd say you don't need to worry about PHP or javascript or anything else for a while. If you need any specific advice or help or whatever, I offer my help.
