There's a nice stickie at the top of the pictures forum teaching you how to post pictures. Here is the link:

Also, could you guys edit the size of your pictures? They're HUGE!
You can resize them using MS Paint->Stretch/Skew.

chad, is that a porceline crab? i totally spelled that wrong. it's so pretty in there. it's amazing how small you can make a tank.

Eva,
Great looking tank. I love the fine sand and the neat shaped center piece.

Yup it is a one-of-those crabs, I think it makes one of the best additions to a really small tank like this. They don't cause any trouble, aren't shy, are pretty, and differnt enough that people can't help but stop to watch them. I also have a hermit crab and a pepermint shrimp in the tank. I will add a couple more hermits and a yellow clown goby. There is also a little more coral now than when the picture was taken.

Picture really sucks, but the tank's sweet... If soon to be short lived - upgrading in the very near future.

It's a whopping 2.75g...

Andy, what fish have you got in there, if any?

Funky_Fish14

Little skum on the surface there Andy? Lol.

There's a red headed goby... There were two anemone shrimp - were being the operative word, both went kamikaze (my fault - I built the tank, didn't build any way to add a top).

Yeah, bit of surface scum, no skimming, little surface disturbance - leads to some. I've also been testing the limits, to see how many water changes I really need in this tank. Used to be I'd do 2 water changes a week at 2L each - now its more like 4L per month. Strangely things seem to be doing better this way.

Anyone who wants to see a nano that is crazy small...check out the www.nano-reef.com forums...and go to Special Interests; Pico Reefs, and click on the 'Tigahboy's Pico Reef" - its a riot!!!

Gorgeous tanks so far!

How are you guys skimming your tanks?? Im wanting to upgrade my tank to a 20g...but have no clue where to get a smaller skimmer?#?@$%

Does anyone make skimmers?? wink wink nudge nudge...

Hey guys,

I wanted to "resurrect" this one. After reading the Nanos edition of Coral (http://www.coralmagazine.com/backIssues/aprMay04.htm) I'm really interested in setting up a 5 gallon nano tank. Its just a pipe dream at this point but I have some extra rock and sand from rearranging my 90 and would just have to figure out some sort of lighting at this point.

So post more pictures with tank info so I can get an idea of what I need to be thinking of

And yes, I'll be checking out various nano forums but thought I'd start here

Christy :)

If I had a nano tank I'd use one of those air driven skimmers by "Lee" I think. They work suprisingly well for what they are. The only down fall is that they are in-tank skimmers, but you could cover it with rock somehow.

I'm with Bob. I don't think a skimmer is necessary in a nano. Especially since you are already feeding carefully and being diligent with your water changes.
