Before I order an RO unit I thought I'd check and see if one is for sale locally.

FYI

Someone is selling a brand new RO unit in last week Bargain Finder ( Calgary ) for $150.00. The unit has 3 cartridge and able to do 150GPD, and according to him, it's brand new and comes with all membrane and cartridge, but he doesn't know what brand name it is. I don't know much about pricing but it sounds fair.

Danny buying one used, unless it is brand new, isn't economical, as the cost of replacement cartridges/possibly membrane/ far outweigh the price of a new unit.

It's the same sad story as I can buy a new printer every few months which is cheaper than replacing the ink cartridges. Sad, but true.. :sad:

Well, i managed to squeeze through a couple of loopholes and got one ordered from ebay. After US conversion, UPS and GST I'm paying $137.00 for it. Thats about 35 buck cheeper than aquaria. Plus it comes with a TDS meter. :biggrin:
