Okay I bought an Alk test kit and have done the tests but they give the readings in mq/l(ppm) how do I convert this to the standard unit of measure that everyone uses??
Ex. My Alk is at 135ppm what is this equal to???

But what unit of measure does everyone tend to use?

a common measure is dKh, although mEq/l is the "normal" chemistry unit used in this part of the world. Either of these 2 work, with 2.8 being the conversion factor between the 2. mEq/l x 2.8 = dKh

hey .....
Your test is giving you mg/L
Take the 135mg/L Divide by 17.85 = 7.56dKH
or
Take the 135mg/L divide by 50 = 2.7mEq/L x2.8 = 7.56dKH
the first one is the best, only one step(tripped on it one day while reading)
hows that
