Well started a 10 gallon this week. Got the water to the correct temp and salinity on wednesday and built the hood tuesday. The tank is run by 1 6500k DED Metal Halide along with a 18 inch Marine-Glo and 18 inch Power-Glo. This gives the tank a total wattage of 100 watts or 10 WPG. The flouresent lights come on at 8 am and are on for 12 hours the halide kicks in a 10 am and is on for 8 hours. We can adjust it to what we need but for now we dont need a whole lot of MH lighting.

Stocking wise we have 3 astrea snails, 1 cerith snail, 3 margarita snails, 4 nassarius (sp?), 6 hermits, 1 sally lightfoot crab, 1 emerald crab, 1 Hawaiian Feather Duster, 3 unkown feather dusters, 3 fuzzy mushrooms, 4 different colours of zoos, 1 Percula Clownfish and 1 Cherub Angelfish.

We got about 10 pounds of LR in the tank and 5 pounds of LS. Lots of caves throughout the LR and the sand has lots of large shells and rubble.

Filteration is done by a AC mini converted into a fuge and the tank is heated by a 50 watt heater.

The fish are fed 3 times a day. First meal is marine moursels, second is a frozen pygmy angelfish diet, and the third is marine moursels again.

The tank is set up to be viewed from from the the 2 length sides. The south side has the mushrooms and 1 colony of tiny zoos. The north side has the Feather Dusters and a small colony of medium size zoos. There is also a rock on the north left hand side with what looks like a single zoo but we cannot determine this at this time.

If you look close there are actualy 2 different colours of zoos. The left side is a red skirt and the right side is more green, pic doesnt show the green too well. You can also see the Sally Lightfoot crab and the the clown.

This is our Percula Clownfish. Animal world had Ocellaris Clowns also, a pair of them but they wernt as nice as this guy. We are looking for a BTA for him so if you got a green let me know.

Heres our little Cherub. He loves to follow you around the tank. He doesnt leave his caves yet but when you move side to side he follows you. Isnt scared one bit just a little unsure. Hopefuly food will draw him out. 25 bucks for this fish. This is the best pic right now.

Here is the south side of the tank. On the top right you can see our fuzzy mushrooms. We have 1 mushroom available for trade right now. The branch rock is where our tiny zoos are still trying to get a pic of those.

Let me know what you think. I am open to opinions.

By the way all these pics were taken under the flouresents. I will try to get some with the Halide the week.

Looks like you have a nice little tank there.

How much of that did you get from Rob at Animal World, have you seen his new 300g?

That LR was 8 bucks a pound. The good stuff came from my secret source. LR came out of his sump gave me some LS too.

Seen his 300 I drooled over it for 20 minutes. The only thing that pryed me away was that clown and a wild discus that flashed. Man that was a nice tank. His corals are a little expensive though. I wouldnt have minded taking home that green toadstool leather but i figured we had enough coral and stuff for one day.

Sorry I forgot to mention I dont want to be flamed here for a cherub in a 10. The cherub will be moved to a 34 gallon (24*18*18) probaly in a month or 2. Tank needs to be built and atleast 10 lbs of LR need to be in place before i will put him in.

Looks good! Try to hold off as long as possible to get your tank nice and established before adding the BTA. A happy and healthy anemone is worth the wait!
