you can get a WH7 and that will power up to two 48" VHO tubes.

Just curious how much you paid for the ballast and the end caps. Seperate prices would be great. Thanks

the ballast was 54.99 and the endcaps were 19.99/pr

i later found out that oceanaquatics.ca (i think) sells the ice cap t5 end caps at $14.99 and are closer which could be cheaper to ship

They actually aren't producing WH 7 ballasts right now. You can still get WH 8 ballasts, which are virtually the same. 1 1/2" longer is all. Although you can run 2 48" VHO bulbs on both the WH7 and WH8 They are not running at true VHO power levels.

Here is the RC link that talks about it.
