I've been away alot working so I decided to take some pics of some of my favourite corals so I can view them on the road. These pics are almost identical to the human eye so I'm quite pleased that I've finally found out how to work my camera. I turned the atinics off for all the pics which makes them a lot more real because the camera's not trying to filter out the massive amount of blue from those bulbs. Heres some of the pics I took today.

The view from the end of my tank:

The infamous Bali Slimer, thanks Shao

Some of Brads corals and frags I got from him:

BTW Brad, they are doing quite well in my tank. Whenever you set up your new tank, just say when.

Milli and Tri-color I got from Kari in Calgary, thanks again Kari.. one of my favourites

My favourite Bali aquacultured I've got from OA, another one of my favorites:

My $15 RBTA that I picked up from Denman before they almost closed down.... thinking back I should have bought all 4 that were left. This guy is stretching about 8" across in this picture. I'm waiting for it to split ..... waiting...... and waiting ....

My Blastomussa. I don't know the scientific name but I call it the Christmas Blasto... self explanotory

And finally my attempt to defy the laws of the average reefer with my goniophora Flower Pot. This guy I've had since beginning of December and its mounted on a piece of live rock on three points. Nice flow around it and under it, you can see it in the corner of the first picture above. It has grown 1/2" down and encrusted part of the live rock where its glued down. If this lives past a year, I will celebrate. If not, I join the ranks of the average Joe Reefer.

Chin,

Great pics. Really clear. I should have gotten the same camera as you did, then you can show me how to take high quality pics too

I see that you cleaned your glass too

I'll have to come check it out again this week to see it in person.

Looks great! Again, thanks for giving a good home to those frags! I get my new tank this week, so a few months should get me back on track...

Hey Chin, nice pics! What kind of camera were they taken on? I just got a new one and I'm trying to perfect the art of the close up. They still come out a bit fuzzy though, any tips?

Thanks all for you comments.
Danny,
I'm using a Canon A70. I'm using the setting with H-fluorescent setting and manual focusing in outdoor mode. seems to work and make sure you turn off your atinics.
