View Full Version : good enough to eat
Just came back from holidays in the Philippines (fantastic snorkelling).
At one of the places we were staying, fisherman had this in the morning catch. Was first asking about 6 bucks, but settled for $2. One of the people I was with bought it, but started feeling guilty about eating it for lunch so set it free after the fisherman left. Had to be 25cm nose to tail.

Your pic didn't work.
Saw it in your member's gallery though. An imperator angel, eh. Glad it was released.

How's that for a price difference. I'd pay about $200 for a fish that size around here if not more.

Sorry, I would have eaten it. How many people can say they've eaten one of those??
Just a colorful perch really!

Lemon and herbs.. mmmm.. actually, know what's nice on white fish is prepared mustard, put some on before you cook it, it really adds a nice touch to the flavour.
If I had eaten it I'd never tell, someone would probably hunt me down and try to recover it.
