yes they are Canadian from BC...if you want one to hold water go with the home plus unit...comes with everything you need to run it to your sink including the goose neck tap, and the 4.5G holding tank. It is a 6 stage 100 GPD with DI.

That's a 3-1/2 gallon resivour. The nice thing about this unit is that it comes with an auto on/off valve. You can hook it up to a float and have it make ro/di water on it's own when needed. And you alway's have 3-1/2 gallons of water raedy to go.

when I fill my garbage can I shut off the tank( it come with a valve on the tank) and flip up the fauset and fill the can, then when I don't make enuf water( I am always short 1 1/2 gals.) I will top it up from the tank  It works well

i picked up a MAXIMUS 100 (was called the reef system when i bought) - hooked it up through a kent auto-top-off and it works great = no more daily checking for evaporation. They used to come out of west van but i guess its all out of the states now after checking the original website (which doesn't work anymore). Heck you can even run it to your fridge ice maker (if you have one). IMO it works awesome.

Ok if it was shipped out of the states what was the total cost buy the time you got it over the border how did they ship it? I have found that it can double the cost of some items buy the time you get it

Mine came from Vancouver...paid in US dollars but the unit is working well. It was from Aqua safe 2-3 days shipping

Aqua Safe is based in and ships from West Vancouver. If you call and make a local delivery they will charge you a cheaper rate of $15 USD for shipping (UPS). I just ordered the maximus 100 GPD. The DI portion is transparent so you can tell when you need to change the resin.

Their number is 604-922-3030.
Their email is aquasafe@uniserve.com

If you call talk to Ed, he is the pro.

I just hooked up my unit tonight and I have to say it is a simple system, it only took a few minutes to hook up. I have the aquarium set up. It dosent come with a tank or discharge spout. I hooked my discharge line directly to a float valve in my sump. Works like a charm
