How do I answer...

Well at the moment, I cut holes in garage doors to install windows (provides great scraps for fish projects  ). I'm doing this because my knee no longer allows me to do those jobs I was trained/certified for (Overhead Door tech, and Landscape Maintenance).

I'm currently looking for a desk job to keep me off wcb until I hopefully go back to school in september.

None taken. Sure the hours are long, but I have been here 10 years now and really do like the company. The funny thing is I have friends that work in a lot of the other game companies in Vancouver, and they face a lot of the same hours we do. As it is EA we just get a lot more press.

ea is an awful company and must be boycotted. they've adopted the "quantity over quality" cliche and made it their own.

Yep - wasn't going for the 3yr contract again... In the last 3 years I used a grand total of 165 minutes (mostly work related); So the new phone I got pay as you go - since I never even came close to my free minutes on the plan. They didn't tell me when I signed up that they're gonna delete my minutes every 60 days :frown:

EA or other computer games companies are not the only ones that have to put in long hours. Most high tech companies nowadays are still struggling to survive and lots of ppl are expected to meet ridiculous deadlines sacrificing personal or family time.

Quantity over Quality? Isn't that the reason why Wal-Mart is so successful and rich? The interesting thing is people seem to prefer Quantity ( less money ) than Quality nowadays.

Anyway, I am a geek work for a company that makes and sells equipment to ISP and Telco ( like Telus ) so your cellphone will drop your call halfway through the traffic light ... hehehe

Yep, but using a whopping 165 minutes over 3 years... I wasn't about to take a plan - cheapest ones I saw were in the 16$/month range (the pay as you go at least I can buy 10$ cards every other month)

One of these days I'll have to learn to appreciate a phone - until then I think I'll keep with my face to face meetings instead :)

I was going to ask the same question. Why would your service provider want your calls to drop? Makes no sense at all to me.

Maybe its a new safety precaution...
It would force people to pull over when they want to talk on the phone.
