I'm an old school photographer (still love working with my 35mm SLR, film camera) so it has only taken me seven months to get someone over here with a digital to take a few photos of my tank

Anyway.... here is my 62 gal reef at 7 months, enjoy.

very cool, Scott! some nice stuff going on in there. put me on your frag list if that Hammer ever gets too big for ya.

as for your IMG tags, the first one has to look like and the second one has to look like , as someone did for you.

so if you go and change your first post, you'll have the pics with comments. nice shots, btw.

Thanks Murray!

Maybe I'm a dumbass, but I dont see where I missed putting in the Img tags. I followed Brads instructions on posting from the photo gallery and it sure looked like his examples. Must have inhaled too much reefer at Jonathans' last night

The first line is where the problem starts. Your tags should have an openning tag [img] and a closing tag in that order. Your images got mixed up when you had two openning tags one right after another.

Fixing that should fix the problem.

Your tank looks great though!

Fixed, thanks AJ

As for the Hammer, Im afraid to frag it because it is not a branching hammer, however, if it gets too big it will have to go to larger tank. Know anybody?

Anthony,

I have no idea as to why the bubbles happened. The BTA just started folding a few of its tentacles over on themselves and they then fused folded over and developed into those strange bulbous tips

"I am not an elephant"

Maybe Tony or others more knowledgeable of anemones could chime in with an answer as to why it happens.

I don't know. Scar tissue? I've had it on some of mine too, over time they go away.

Nice looking tank you got there Scott
For only 7 months old it appears to be very healthy

Just one bit of advice though, that orange sponge probably won't last too long as it's found in much lesser lit area's of the reef, and unless your dosing in lot's of phyto it will most likely end up starving.

Oh yeah, I know exactley what you mean, nothing beats shooting a few rolls of koda chrome slide film

Hey Scott,
Great looking tank. Looks real nice for 7 months old.
Is that a moon coral in the front on the sandbed..?? any closeups of that beauty..??

Ryan,

Yes that Moon Coral sits on my sandbed and it is one of my favorite corals. The centers are an awesome flourescent green, especially under actinic lights. It is very cool at night when the hundreds of tentacles come out for feeding. They are about 1/2" - 3/4" long and make the coral look all fuzzy. I've seen some of the sweeper tentacles reach out 6"-8"

This is the best shot I have right now and it does not do justice to the colour of the coral.
