Hi. Looking for formalin 37%. I got a new clownfish from the store that I suspect has brook. Online says that formalin is the only effective treatment. Can’t find it anywhere. Please msg me if u have some. Thanks.

Did you still need formalin? I've got some on hand if you still need it.

given its been 2 weeks, did the clown end up with brook? if so, I doubt it is still alive... but figure I would still leave this here for future reference...

If ever in a spot where you don't have the meds, dose hydrogen peroxide, (3% stuff from walmart works just fine. dose daily for up to 1 week (I dose 80-100ml/day in a 400 gal system, so basically 1ml/4Gal with positive results.

given some meds these days seem impossible to find, I found an alternative on Amazon that worked well for me called Rally pro. which can even be dosed directly in tank and does not harm corals either.

Thank you so much for your reply and for sharing this information.
In terms of my clownfish, I had him in quarantine with hyposalinity water for 3 weeks. The white coating on his skin disappeared for fell off. He has been going strong since with no signs of breathing or any issues. Maybe it wasn’t brook. It did not look like ich. I have been giving him garlic and selcon. Anyhow he seems fine. But if it comes back I will follow your suggestion. Thanks for sharing.
