Fumigating

Hey all,

We've developed a pest problem and it looks like we are going to have fumigation our house.
Has anyone with a reef tank done this?
If so what were the results?
The exterminators seem to think just covering up the tank with a sheet will do the trick.
I'm open to suggestions.

That would be the best you can do is cover up the tank with plastic sheet & shutting off the skimmer, anything that draw air into the system. That also applies to painting and any arresol spraying in the room. Good luck,

What about putting a larger aquarium air compressor outside with a long line and putting it under that sheet of plastic that your tank is under? It would put some positive pressure underneath with fresh air. Have it bubble up under the water.
