Bring back "Last 10 discussions" Home Page

I'd like to see the "Last 10 postings" reinstated.
Maybe it's just my computer settings. I have talked to other aquarists that say they don't get it anymore either. The old Home page had them:

and the new one has a space at the side for them. I always found it useful to see what everyone was currently talking about. Sure I can scroll by date through the sections but I liked the convenience of the "last 10".
I think it helped to keep threads going and focused us on the most recent questions and replies. Anyways, since I may be alone in this or have the wrong settings on my computer I thought I'd set-up a poll. Hope to hear from you all soon.

If you go to this page http://www.canreef.com/phpBB2/index.php, on the right there is a "view posts since last visit" link. Not only do you get the last 10 posts, but you also get all the ones you've missed since your last visit. I'm here lots, so sometimes there are only 5 posts, but often there are 20 or more posts.

I like the last 10 posts idea, too, though :biggrin:

My understanding is that the script that runs that on the start page is broken. It wasn't taken away on purpose.

As stated before ... " view posts since last visit " is much better since it not only gives you the last 10 posts but every other post you had not seen since the last visit ... I use this feature every time I visit the board to see what happened while I was gone :cool:

What Brad said. Apparently an issue with the phpBB code itself.

Might make sense to kill that page altogether and set http://www.canreef.com/phpBB2/ as the root, or auto-redirect to it.
