I've started dosing Lugols for about three weeks now & been generally happy with the results. Can anyone give me some input on they're experiences with supplimenting softies? I'm making my tank primarily a soft coral tank + leathers, zoos, polyps'n shrooms, BTA's & filter feeders. I want to start using DT's but any other recommendations out there?

Sushi,
I switched over to Lugol's a few months ago & have been very happy with the results. It was recommended to me by several friends who've used Lugol's for years. I premix mine into RO/DI water rather than risk ODing with the pure solution. I find the Kent's Iodine is way too dilute for me. I special order mine through Shopper's Drug Mart, since my sis-in-law is a pharmacist there. Way less expensive than @ LFS & same stuff. I've also been happy with Liquid Reactor & Chemi-Pure in my systems. I feed my corals/filter feeders Tahitian Blend (from Ocean Aquatics) & live rotifers. My clams love it.

Can that Lugol's solution be detrimental to LPS corals?

yup, too much iodine can f@#k things up nicely, just monitor your dosing & have a dechlorinator handy in case of accidental OD.
