How about 20,000 individual stalks of "beautiful" aptasia? I could pay him twice over!

I don't even think anyone has bid on it.

You could build something realy impresive for the 20K.

Still nice, just the same.

That or I could live for a year and a half...

I have to admit though the design is unique though!

I like the sand all around the tanks!

I liked all his little fish trinkets on the walls, and between the tanks.

I don't like it personally, looks like something that should be in a elementary school bio classroom

Deffinitly not worth 20,000. If i had 20,000 to spend on a tank i could do waay way wayyyayayay better then that.

looks like something you would see in an office building.

I agree, the tank and stand look set for an office lobby, the surrounding sand and decor look like an elementary school. I love the idea of having a couple 300gal tanks side by side, though the style (and price tag) is not my taste.

That is an absolutely ridiculous price for that. With 20 large I could get something much cooler than that.

You could build a way better system than that for 20k.... even one 600 gallon tank would be better that 2 300's

I read several negative comments... I am curious, are you guys just looking at the tanks?

I think the cabinetry is what bumped up the price.
You don't just walk into IKEA and buy a 20' - 24' cabinet that can support over 6000 lbs.

I can't tell from the picture whether it's hardwood or nicely finished plywood, but that nice cabinetry took someone alot of materials and manhours. The wave front and detailed canopies are pretty sweet.

I am still in the process of building cabinetry around my 175 Bowfront in my dining room. I looked into replacing my kitchen cabinets with nice looking pre-fabricated Home Depot cabinets so everything would match...
$6,000 - $7000 easy. And that's pre-fab not custom and that's just basically boxes with doors.

I decided to build them all myself out of MDF and replace the kitchen cabinet doors with my homemade ones. Everything will match and I'll have money left for food.

My house couldn't fit a 20' - 24' cabinet, neither could my wallet (my pockets aren't deep enough).

In my opinion, you can't judge value from a picture.

Unless those cabinets are made of gold i still think 20000 is to much, my 1000sq/foot basement was developed for a little over 10,000.

.

If they epoxied sand onto hardwood I would like to kick the fool. your right, the cabinet probably took around 1000.00 of material, standard mark up is 100 to 200% from what I have seen around here for cabinet making so to buy the cabinet it would be 3000.00 tops. Like I have always said though one mans treasure is another mans junk and although I don't like the looks of it I am sure some do.

that must have been the top of the line cabinets to add up to that much. when I redid my kitchen I found that even the custom ones are boxes with doors now, you just don't have to put them together
